Description
Zena has now been in foster for several weeks and this is what we now know about her :
She’s a super young girl. Very friendly, playful and affectionate. We have experienced a bit of mouthing from her but she will stop when told ‘no’. She responds well to commands, especially for treats but also a ball. She loves to play and enjoys her walks. She is house trained and has a healthy appetite (we use an anti gulp bowl to slow down her eating), currently on 3 meals a day to build her weight up (we feed her Harrington’s Lamb & Rice Dry dog food with Webbox chub roll). She has been fine with visitors – barks initially when at the door but soon stops by being ignored and they are invited inside. She is friendly and not aggressive at all with other dogs, untested with cats. Zena walks reasonably well on the lead but can pull at times.Zena does on occasions lunge and bark at people when she is on a lead so this is an area she needs work on.Overall, Zena really is a super little dog. Her core behaviours are great, she just has a few little bad habits which with training will soon be resolved.
