New foster home or forever home needed for lovely boy Max ❤️
Max came into rescue last year after his owners were going to have him pts and has been in foster but sadly his foster dad has health problems so cannot keep him.
Max is 9 years old , in date for vaccinations and neutered.
He is a real gentleman and very friendly with people he meets. He can be a bit strong when he sees other dogs but no more than most gsds and is happy if kept at a distance from other dogs to begin with. After careful introductions he is happy to play with dogs. He is happy to be left . He has lived with other large breed dogs previously but not for a while so is happier as an only dog. We are told he doesn’t particularly like smaller dogs.
If you feel you can offer this gorgeous boy his forever home please fill in an application form on the adoption page
Max is currently near Southampton.
Applications for foster will be considered too as sadly we have no choice but to move this lovely boy on 🥲
Latest Updates for Max
Max still needs a fairly urgent foster or forever home due to his foster dad’s deteriorating health. He is 9, neutered and in date for vaccinations.
Max is a lovely boy who is very friendly with everyone he meets. When I visited he greeted me with kisses and a waggy tail.
He walks nicely on the lead and regularly socialises with dogs at a dog boarders so we feel he could live with other large breed dogs that are calm. He can show interest to other dogs when out on a walk but isn’t aggressive.
We have been told he chases cats and has never lived with children so we would only consider teenagers.
PLEASE DONT BE PUT OFF BY HIS AGE. HE HAS SO MUCH ENERGY AND LOVE TO GIVE
Max is in foster in Hampshire so any applicant with resident dogs would need to be prepared to travel for an introduction.
We really need to find this boy a home before the end of August so if you feel you can help please fill in a foster or adoption form 👇
