Ella is a small girl weighing approximately 28kgs. She is 5 years old, spayed, with a semi-long coat and in date with her vaccinations.
Ella has been in a foster home for the last 7 weeks as she had to be moved from her previous home urgently as her owner passed away. Sadly she now needs a new foster or forever home.
We have been told she has no health issues.
Ella is reactive around other dogs, a definite no with cats and is fine being left for up to 4 hours. Ella is extremely nervous when meeting new people both in and outside the home. She takes time to come round in the home and is then happy to interact with you, and likes to show you her tricks and bring her toys to you.
Outside the home she will eventually calm down and sit if you ignore her and have a conversation (at a distance) with the person. Ella is very strong on the lead even when wearing a Halti head collar. She had not been walked for several months, however, since being with her foster family for 7 weeks, she has been walking on a daily basis.
We now have a better understanding of her severe anxiety/reactiveness when in the outside world. She would be best suited to a pet free, adult only home who have experience with this type of behaviour.
Ella would suit a single person or couple who have a large garden for her to potter around in so she doesn’t need to be exposed to the outside world. Ella is in foster in Hampshire.
