Description

Duke is looking for his forever home.
He is a 6 year old GSD who is microchipped and in date for vaccinations.

Duke was initially homed by the rescue when he was young but came back to us due to his owners health issues. He was then rehomed 3 years ago but came back to us due to an incident in the home a few days after being adopted as he was sadly put in a stressful situation. He has been in kennels ever since.

Duke needs a very experienced GSD home ideally with a single male or female (or very experienced couple) . He is a no with children of any age (and no visiting children )and needs to be the only dog.

Duke is not good with anything that he perceives as confrontational so will need a patient home. He can react in a negative way if told no.

In the past he has been uncomfortable with being touched on his back end but he has got better and enjoys a good fuss now.
He will need to be muzzled for any vet visits and needs a safe space in a home where he can go when visitors come. He is wary of people he doesn’t know.
He absolutely loves playing with his toys especially his ball 🥰

As Duke has been in kennels for some time he will require any potential adopter to visit him in kennels near Southampton multiple times.

Duke would suit a single male or female who has few or no visitors who has experience with the breed.
