Cleo was brought as a puppy and spent the first 15 months of her life living in a home with another Malinois, the owner then found it too much and took Cleo to the pound to be rehomed.
Since Cleo came to us, we have found the following out about her:
She is a very affectionate little girl and loves nothing more than to sit with you be brushed and have cuddles.
She loves her walks but doesn’t have the high energy most Malinois have though this could be because she hasn’t had the opportunity to do agility or something similar, she does need to have her mind worked with different things as she does get bored very quickly
She does like to run after a ball but again gets bored very quickly and would rather sit and chew it.
She will walk out nicely with a group of dogs but she is very selective when she is with dogs off lead, some she will play with others she takes a dislike to; she does tend to nip when running around.
She is ok with children but if they run around and get excited, she will copy and then nip their ankles.
She is a definite no with cats and small furies, she appears to have a high prey drive as looks to chase anything small that moves.
Cleo needs a home where someone is going to be around most of the time, where someone is going to spend time with her training and teaching her how to be a dog, to work on her social skills with other dogs. She needs to be an only dog where there are no small children, older ones would be fine and definitely no cats.
Cleo is in date for vaccinations, micro chipped and spayed
At present Cleo is in kennels and getting very stressed so we would like to find her a foster or forever home as soon as possible so if you feel you can give this little girl a home life please go to our adoption page and complete our questionnaire
