A Fabulous Fundraiser in Fareham
We decided to break with tradition and rather than having a market stall in West Street Fareham at Christmas, we thought it might nice when the weather was kinder to us. This decision proved to be a real winner for us.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for us. We had lots of delicious home made dog treats on offer together with some delightful GSD ornaments and even our very own handmade GSD gift bags, thanks to Abbie and her ingenious recycling skills.
We met some fantastic people, and lots of lovely dogs and everyone was so friendly and supportive of the work we do for the dogs we love. Being a small, local rescue this sort of event is so crucial for us to be able to raise our charity’s profile in the local community in order for people to consider rescue rather than purchasing puppies.
As always the stars of our events are always our dogs and Saffie and Tessie didn’t disappoint today – as always they were impeccably behaved and a credit to their breed.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the people of Fareham we’re delighted to say we raised an amazing figure of £254! We can’t thank everyone enough for their support and generosity and promise that every single penny raised goes straight back into the rescue to help care for current and future dogs needing the help of German Shepherd Rescue South.
Thank you Fareham Council for allowing us to have a stall today and we hope to see people again at one of our other fundraising events this year.
