Update: Poppy's foster mum says that she is a wonderful dog. She is coping very well with her sight problem. Unfortunately it is not possible to do anything for her sight as it is to far gone. The vet has prescribed some drops for her eyes that may hold back the problem but it is felt that this is a case of to little at this stage. Poppy is coping very well. She is completely blind in one eye and has about 20% vision in the other. She loves life and still acts like a youngster. She is ok with the other dogs and cats in the home.

Poppy is a lovely 8 year old semi coated black GSD. Poppy is looking for a new home because her owners were moving to accommodation that didn't allow pets. Poppy had been in her home since she was 8 weeks old. Poppy is a lovely friendly girl, she is good with people and loves children, she has lived with children from age 1 to 14 years old. Poppy is good with other dogs, she lived with a small Cavalier Kings Charles dog, in her current foster home she is living with 2 GSD's and two cats, which she takes no notice of. Poppy has some problems with her eyes and we have been told that she is half blind. we will be consulting our vets with regard to this when she settles into her foster home and will update on her condition. All in all Poppy is a very loving dog who would make a great addition to any family.
