Sasha

Sasha has gone to her lovely new home in Oxford where she will be living with Ringo an 11 year old GSD x rescue dog, and older children. There are also chickens on the property, lets hope that Sasha dosen't get peckish......

Sasha's Story

Sasha is a gorgeous 4 year old long haired GSD. Sasha is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is being rehomed because the owner has moved home and has gone back to work, therefore Sasha is being left for long periods of time. Sasha is an obedient dog, a little shy when she first meets you, but once she gains trust she is a lovely cuddly girl, she is also very clever. We found that Sasha may be a little bored in her home environment and would suit a family that is GSD experienced and who could have fun with this girl, she needs to run and play.

We would like Sasha to go to a home where she will not be left for long periods of time, a home with adults only or older children, but somewhere that this girl can have some fun.

She would benefit/and be fine living with other dogs, although we would like her to go with laid back dogs that wouldn't bully her.

Scooby and Solo

Scooby and Solo went to their new home today. They will be living with a lovely family  in Wiltshire  and with two older children, plus two cats. We are so pleased that their new family were willing to take on both of these gorgeous boys, they really are the most well mannered GSD's, and they love each others company. We look forward to updates on these lads.

Scooby and Solo's Story

Scooby and Solo are both lovely dogs (scooby is 3 and Solo is 4)who have lived together very happily and if possible we would like to rehome these two boys together, however if this is not possible then the owners will split them as long as we can find them great homes.  Both dogs are being rehomed because their owners are going back to South Africa, and shipping the two lads would be well out of what they can do financially, both Scooby and Solo are very well loved by their owners and to have to make the decision to leave them in the UK is heartbreaking for them.

Scooby is the more outgoing of the two dogs, but Solo is equally as loving. They get on great with people, children, dogs and cats, they live with two cats.  Both are very obedient and walk well on the lead. They have no aggression to either food or toys and love to play with the frisbee.  Solo is a little hestitant when he meets new dogs and hangs back a little until he knows he is not going to be harmed, once he realises this he loves to run and play with the dogs.  Scooby just loves everyone.

Both boys are fed on BARF diet (bone and raw food) and are doing great on this diet. Both dogs are entire so this is something that will have to be addressed.

These are really two lovely special boys.

Christie

Christie has been rehomed within the owners family

This beautiful girl is Christie a 5 yeard old GSD.  Christie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.  Christie is being re-homed due to relationship breakdown.  Christie is one of the most gentle GSD's that I have ever met, she loves people, children, dogs and cats, she really is a fantastic girl.  Christie has a little problem as she suffers from EPI a problem with her pancreas.  When we initially took Christie from a home in central Londom she weighed 19 kilos. She was then placed in a foster home, who eventually adopted her. Christie was diagnosed with EPI and since then she has been on medication and has blossomed into a wonderful dog. Her problem is under control, although she will always have to have her medication, which is not costly, and her bland diet.  Christie will make a fantastic companion.

Tia

Lovely Tia has gone to her new home in Tendering, Colchester where she will be living with her family and another big friendly GSD for company.  Tia has settled well into her new home and is loved by all especially the 18 year old daughter, Tia has also taken to the cat in the family. Tia has 9 acres of land to romp about in, we look forward to more photos of this lovely girl.

Tia's Story

Tia is a lovely 3.5 yeard old white, entire, GSD. Tia is looking for a new home due to changes in her family's lifestyle, because of this she is not getting the walks that she needs.  This has been a very difficult decision that her owners have made because she is a very well loved member of the family, they have had Tia since she was 8 weeks old.  Tia is a really lovely friendly happy dog, she loves children. She know all of her commands, the only thing that would need work is her recall.  She will bark at other dogs when she is on lead, but is absolutely fine when off lead, she is dog friendly, will chase cats if they come into her garden.

Benji

The lovely Benji was rehomed by RSPCA Leeds

Benji's Story

Benji is a German Shepherd dog who was brought in for rehoming in January. Benji''s previous owners had too many dogs to cope with.

My name is Benji. I am a very loving larger dog who needs a special kind of home with special requirements. I am only 2 years old, maybe younger, so I will need lots of training and patience from my future adopters. My owners will need to have had experience with my breed or similar larger breeds. I am not suitable for families with kids as I may knock them over through being a little over enthusiastic. I will need lots of exercise and lead training specifically. If you meet the above criteria and have the time and patience for me, please give the centre a call to arrange an appointment to visit me, given time I will make a wonderful companion.
Benji will likley need someone around most of the day, at least in the early stages until he learns to cope better on his own

Can you offer Benji a foster/permanent home

Zena and Storm

Zena and Storm were succesfully rehomed by their owner

Zena is a short coated 6 year old GSD and Storm is a 2 year old Husky x. They are both looking for new homes due to changes in there owners circumstances.  Storm and Zena are both people friendly and both very laid back dogs.  These dogs love one another dearly and we would like them to be re-homed together, but is this isn't possible then we would consider letting them go to separate homes.

Zena and Storm are being assessed further and we will update in due course.

Solo's story

This handsome chap is Solo a 7 yeard old GSD x Collie. Solo is a very well loved member of his family, but due to increased working hours he is not being given the time and attention that he deserves, so sadly it has been decided that he should be re-homed.

Solo is neutered and vaccinated, he is a very clever lad and knows lots of commands, he is very people orientated and has lots of friends who love him dearly. Solo bonds very quickly with people, however we wouldn't place him with very young children as excitable behaviour worries this laid back dog, he would be ok with older calmer children. He is also ok with cats when he gets to know them.

Bear

Bear

Bear has gone to his lovely new home in Southsea, Hampshire, where he will be living with Milo a JRT and Molly a GSD who is also one of our rescue dogs.

Bear is a handsome 8 month old GSD who had to be re-homed purely for financial reasons. Bear had Demodex mange which is healing up nicely, his coat is in wonderful condition. He does have a few problems with the mange in his paws and is still being treated for this.  His new owners say that he is settling in well and hopefully his health problems will soon be sorted out.  We look forward to posting some up to date photos of this handsome chap.

Wolf and Fox

Wolf and Fox have been re-homed by their owner. They are not going to live together but the new owners know each other so these brothers will meet on a regular basis. Good luck boys !!

Wolf and Fox's Stories

Wolf and Fox are 2 year old brothers who would ideally like to be re-homed together. Wolf and Fox are people friendly, they and are neutered, vaccinated, flead and wormed.  They are being re-homed because of a house move and the new landlord does not allow dogs. They both have lovely temperaments, and will make wonderful family pets.

Maggie

We were surprised that nobody offered this very pretty girl a home as soon as she came to our rescue, but at long last Maggie has found a lovely new forever home.  She has gone to her new home in Colchester, Essex where she is living with her new family and two teenagers, they intend to do agility work with her, which will suit Maggie, as she loves to jump.

Maggie's Story

Maggie is a young GSD, she is very pretty,  we believe her to be about 18 monthss old. Maggie was abandoned by her owners and ended up in the dog pound. Maggie is a friendly girl who loves people and will bond very quickly. We would like Maggie to go to GSD experienced owners and to someone that can build her confidence. Because we do not know if Maggie has lived with children we would re-home only with older children. Maggie would probably be better suited as the only dog in the family. We do not know how she is with cats. If you can offer a foster/permanent home for Maggie please contact us for more information on this lovely dog.

Mishka aka Sasha

Mishka has waited a long time for her perfect home and she has now found it !!!  Mishka has been adopted by her foster family who fell in love with this lovely girl. This lucky girl is in her element in her new home where she has other GSD's for company, lucky girl Mishka.

Mishka's Story

Mishka is a GSD x, approximately 15-16 months old. Mishka was originally found as a stray and ended up in the pound where we stepped in to save her. Mishka went to a foster home where she was found to be a very friendly girl and was living happily with three other GSD's, 2 cats and a very young child.  Mishka has never shown any signs of aggression.

Mishka was re-homed to a family but unfortunately it didn't work out and Mishka was returned to rescue. Mishka is a wonderfully happy dog, she loves people, children and cats. She would benefit from being re-homed to an active family , with older children, and another dog for company.

Brandy

This lovely friendly girl Brandy went to her new home in Bristol.

Brandy's Story

Brandy is an entire bitch who will be 5 years old in October.  Brandy is being re-homed becasue the family do not have the time to give her the attention she deserves.  Brandy is a very friendly girl and is extremely soft and cuddly.  Brandy could do with some lead training as she does gets excited and pulls, her re-call also needs a bit of work but apart from these minor things she would make an excellent family pet.

Toby

Toby has gone to a new home where he will be training as a working dog. We will update on Toby's progress

Toby's Story

Toby is an 8 month old GSD who is looking for a new home.Toby is a lovely boy although he has not had a lot of socialisation. Toby barks at people when he first meets them, but it really is just that he has not been around people. He also barks at other dogs and runs away, within a few minutes he just wants to play. Toby is a big boy already and still has some growing to do. We would like to place Toby in a home with GSD expereince, and with older children. Toby will need ongoing training. Whilst in the kennels, his handler has been introducing him to lots of people and other dogs and he is coming on well.

Can you offer Toby a foster/permanent home

Sadie

Our lovely girl Sadie has gone to a new home in Ilford, Essex, where she will be living with other dogs. We know that Sadie will have a fantastic forever home where she will be thoroughly spoiled.

Sadie's Story

Sadie is a 14 month old GSD who is being re-homed due to financial problems. Sadie is a very pretty girl who still acts very much like a puppy. She does mouth and jumps up, this is something that could easily be overcome with the right training. She is a little shy when she meets new people, but easily comes around with a tempting sausage treat !!. Sadie is used to very young children, but because she still jumps up and mouths we would prefer her to go with older children. She is ok with other dogs but will chase small furries. Sadie knows basic commands.

Misty

Misty, the lovely girl from the dog pound, has been adopted by her foster family and is living a fantastic new life with two other GSD's. After all of her problems we are so pleased that she has finally got the chance of a lovely forever home.

Misty's Story

Misty is about 5-7 years old, we have just rescued this lovely dog from the pound where she was in danger of being euthanised.

It was found that Misty had a large mass in her stomach and was taken to the vets. Misty was scanned and the vets found a lump on her uterus, they operated on Misty, the lump was removed and this was found to be benign. Misty is currently on a course of antibiotics and is getting stronger by the day. We didn't think that this lovely girl would make a full recovery, but so far she has proved us all wrong.

Misty is currently in a foster home, being fed roast chicken !! and living with two other GSD's. She is a very gentle calm loving girl, who needs a very sepcial home after all she has been through.

Update

Misty is eating very well and has put on 1.5 kg in weight. She is a happy girl and really enjoying life now. She is in good health, loves people and other dogs

Tally

This lovely girl has gone to her forever home in Surrey.

Tally's story

Tally is a lovely GSD that came from the pound, she is about 2 years old maybe a bit younger. Tally is very people friendly and likes other dogs. When she went in to the pound her nails were very overgrown and this must have been very painful for her, but even through that she didn't complain. Tally would certainly make a wonderful companion pet.

Tally came straight from the pound and went to an open day, she mixed with loads of other dogs, people and children and was absolutely fine with everything.

Riggs Story

Riggs is a handsome 18 month old entrie GSD. Riggs is a very friendly boy who has lived with children. Riggs is being re-homed due to marital split. Riggs does get excited when people come into his house, not in an aggressive way he just likes to jump up to say hello. This minor issuecould be easily addressed with training.

Milo aka Zorro

Milo has finally found a fantastic new home in Devon. Milo will be living the ideal life with other dogs, horses and all manner of other animals. Good luck Milo

Milo's Story

Zorro is a black and tan 3 year old GSD. Zorro has lived his life in a small kennel in a back yard within inner London, he has hardly ever been walked or socialised.  Having said that since he has been in our kennels he has proved to be very people friendly boy, and we will continue to assess this lovely boy further. He also appears to be dog friendly. When Zorro arrived at our kennels and was show the enclosed paddock where he was let off the lead, probably for the first time in his life, he was like a young pup bounding around everywhere with such joy, he was such a delight to watch.

As Zorro has never lived in a home, Zorro's ideal home would be somewhere rural, probably with other dogs, where he could live outside in a cosy kennel.  Maybe with time and patience Zorro could be an indoor dog.

Update

Zorro has proved to be a very friendly laid back boy who takes everything in his stride.  He takes no notice of the other dogs in the kennels and is ok with the cats and the chickens. This boy will make a lovely loyal companion.

Snowy

Snowy has gone to a lovely new home, with children for company, he looks very happy in the photos that the family have sent to us.

Snowy's Story

Snowy is an adorable 10 month old white GSD, because of ill health within the family Snowy is not getting the time spent on him that he deserves. Snowy has lived with young children, has never shown aggression to people, children or other dogs, but he does need further training especially with his re-call and his issues at being left. Snowy is on his way to a foster home where he will be further assessed.

Bailey

Bailey has been rehomed within the owners family

Bailey's Story

This lovely chunky boy is Bailey a 5 year old kc registered, entire,  long coated lad. Baiey is lookijng for a new home due to marriage break up. Bailey is a friendly boy, has lived with children, although we would like to re-home with older children only, he also likes cats. Bailey pulls on the lead which would need to be addressed through training, we found Bailey to be a very intelligent lad, who know sit, stay and paws,  so training would not be a problem for him .Bailey does bark at other dogs when out on lead but once again we feel that this could easily be overcome with tarining. We would like Bailey to go to a home with GSD experience.

Rocky

Rocky has gone to his forever home in Hampshire, we wish this lovely old man a happy retirement !!

Rocky's story

This handsome man is Rocky. Rocky is a 10 year old lad who is being rehomed due to a marriage break up. Rocky is neutered and microchipped. Rock is a very friendly boy who likes people, children and is fine with strangers. He did not bark or show any aggression whatsoever when our assessor visited the home, all Rocky wanted to do was sniff assessors hand then he was happy to let them in. Rocky however does not get on to well with dogs when he is off lead, he is ok with non dominant dogs, but dosen't like dominant dogs. He would be ok to live with a laid back non dominant female. Rocky really is a very nice dog and we would like him to go to a home where he could just chill out and enjoy his latter years!!!
