If you are interested in any of the dogs on the website please complete an Adoption Form. If you have already completed an Adoption Form and would like more details about a dog please contact the rescue either by telephone or using the form on the Contact Us page. MaggieMaggie is a young GSD we believe her to be about 18 monthss old. Maggie was abandoned by her owners and ended up in the dog pound. Maggie is a friendly girl but quite timid. We would like Maggie to go to GSD experienced owners and to someone that can build her confidence. Because we do not know if Maggie has lived with children we would re-home only with older children.
BillyThis is Billy, he is about 1 year old, not a big dog but still has a bit of growing to do. Billy was abandoned, he was found tied to a tree, sadly it was obvious that this poor dog had been tethered as his collar had started embedding in his neck. His wounds have been dealt with, his fur will grow back. Billy is a friendly bouncy boy and is ok with other dogs. We would preferably like to re-home Billy with older children 10+ or an adult only home, and to someone with GSD experience who would be willing to take Billy to training classes. Billy will make some lucky family a lovely loyal companion. Billy's neck where the collar started to embedd
GeorgeThis big cuddle monster is George. George is a 2.5 year old GSD. George was abandoned by his owner, and this lovely lad was in great danger of being euthanised. George is a friendly lad, he is dog friendly. George is currently in boarding kennels where he can be further assessed. Can you offer this cuddly boy a forever home. George has been around children of 11+, lived with a cat which he played with. George has minor issues, he dosen't like his back legs being touched, he dosen't like his halti being put over his head, small issues that can be worked on.
LeviLevi is a big bouncy GSD X. Levi is being re-homed because his owners working patterns have changed and they can no longer give Levi the attention her deserves. Levis is living with a smaller dog and young children, he is great with both. Levi does bark at other dogs and pulls towards them when out on his lead. Levi is a good all round dog.
SkySky is a lovely 3 year old GSD. She is full of bluster but is a little insecure. Will be a lovely loyal companion but needs calm handling and a steady routine. Sky can be re-homed with children of 13+ and would be ok with another dog if carefully introduced. Ski is not doing very well in kennels and we would love to find her a new home as soon as possible. These photographs really do not do this beautiful girl justice.
SummerSummer is a 5 year old spayed female. Summer is extremely nervous, so we would like her to go to a home that understands GSD's and can help build her confidence. Summer needs a quite home preferably an adult home only, with no other dogs. Summer is not doing well in kennels, although she has started to play with her handler, and plays peek a boo in her kennel, by putting her paws over her eyes. So with an understanding home we believe that Summer will make a lovely companion.
BrunoBruno is a 4 year old short coated neutered male. Bruno was no longer wanted so we need to find Bruno a loving permanent home. Bruno is good with other dogs, friendly, and loves to play. Bruno is not great on the lead, he pulls, so this would have to be dealt with by training. Bruno needs a GSD experienced or large dog home. Bruno is now in a foster home.
MaxThis is Max a lovely 3 year old, short coated GSD. Max has a sorry tale to tell, he was kept in a garage along with two other dogs, not even allowed out to go to the toilet in his garden, assume he went in the garage, and he was beaten. His so called owner was evicted from the home and Max was rescued by a lovely lady who has socialised him, had him neutered, vaccinated, flead and wormed. Unfortunately, due to her age, she believes that Max should go to someone that could give him more than she can. Max is excellent with children and people, having been around foster mums 3 year old grandaughter. Max loves to play with other dogs when out on his walks, he is also very good with livestock and horses, he has no desire to chase them at all. Max is a very good all rounder and will make someone a lovely loyal companion.
Maddie and TessTess and Maddie are mum and daughter. Maddie is a Collie x GSD and her mum Tess is a collie. Both girls are being re-homed because their owner does not have time to walk and look after them anymore. Both girls are friendly, owner says that she has never heard Maddie growl. Tess walks to heal off lead, Maddie tends to pull on lead, so some training in that area would be needed. They do suffer from some separation anxiety so this would have to be dealt with. Tess has been offered a home, Maddie is still looking Maddie
KaneThis big boy is Kane a 9 month old who needs a new home because his owner could no longer give Kane the time and attention that he deserved. Kane has not had much training, he has lived with another smaller dog but he is a super firendly boy, he shows no aggression. Kane is currently in a foster home and living with another large dog and all he wants to do is play, typical puppy. On a walk her saw a cat and just ignored it although he has never lived with a cat. Kane is currently on medication for stiffness in hind legs, but now he is being regularly exercised this is getting a lot better. Kane is doing really well in his foster home, he is such a friendly laid back boy who will make someone a lovely companion. Kane is living with a large Akita at the moment and they get on very well together.
Me as a baby, Kane xx
PuppyPuppy's exact age isn't known she is thought to be 7-8 years old, but acts more like a 4 yeard old and is full of life. Puppy is currently living with children and is used to children of all ages. Puppy dosen't like cats and is not to keen on other dogs, although she used to live with two other dogs when she was younger, but we believe this is an isse that could be dealt with, with training. She is quite strong on the lead and again this could easily be dealt with. When our assessor knocked on the door Puppy sniffed at his hand, wagged her tail and within a minute was on her back to have her tummy rubbed. Puppy is being re-homed because the owner works long hours and cannot give her the attention she deserves. Update Puppy is a very friendly girl loves people and children, she bonds very quickly and would make someone a lovely companion. She is still not tolerant of other dogs and therefore we would like her to be the only dog in the home, but having said that Puppy has so much love to give. She loves cuddles and we know she would make someone a lovely companion.
JasmineThis lovely girl is Jasmine a 5 year old GSD girl. Jasmine is looking for a new home because her owner died last year and she has been passed around the family. She is now living with her previous owners daughter who is struggling to cope with very young children and Jasmine as well. Jasmine is very well loved but she is not getting the attention that the daughter feels she needs. Jasmine is good with children. Update...Jasmine is a lovely girl, a quiet dog who is great with children. Jasmine does bark at other dogs when she is out on the lead, but she quickly moves on and forgets all about it. In our opinion Jasmine will make a lovely, loyal family pet. Jasmine is now a foster home in Surrey and is happily living with 3 other dogs, and a child.
ShadowShadow is a stunning 2 year old GSD. Shadow is a stunner, he is a very big strong boy, very strong on lead, and needs an owner who understands large dogs. Shadow can be protective of his owners in his home so we would like Shadow to go to an adult or older teenage home. Outside of the home Shadow is a great dog, he mostly ignores other dogs if they bound up to him, and when he gets really fed up with them he lies down. Shadow loves cuddles and his ears rubbed. We would like any prospective owner to meet Shadow a few times, if you can give this gorgeous big lad a home please contact us
If you could give one of our GSD's a foverever home please read our adoption guidelines then complete our Adoption Form. For more information please call us on 02392 221485 |
